If you really want to know what someone is like as a person, mention the term, "art gallery" to them and see how they respond. People tend to have strong feelings about art galleries. Many people who've never even visited a gallery tend to think that they're "fancy," and exclusive places where they're not welcome. Contemporary art dealers and gallerists are busy people who are juggling many things most of the time. Given the lack of arts education in schools, informing the public can be exhausting and it's not always on the top of the lists of galleries that are trying to stay afloat. Imagine smiling and repeating the same things over and over and over again to every Tom, Dick and Harry who visits your gallery and none of those people buys anything. But, that comes with the gig. Anyway, I love art galleries and the ones i've visited were not the major ones , they were like these small , minor ones. But i have visited my very First Major Gallery and i was so happy to visit it and glad i did.Of course in future i will definitely visit the major ones. So this is the one makor one i have visited just "YET".
So One of the Art Galleries which i've visited is the National Gallery of Art, during my stay in London. The National Gallery of Art has one of the finest collections of European paintings in the world. What makes this gallery so important is that, although there are bigger galleries, The National Gallery has many paintings of very high quality and also because it has paintings by famous artists whose works are very rare. These rare paintings include works by Masaccio, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Vermeer, Rousseau and more. It is a grand building of pale grey limestone, with a central dome and a large Classical style porch (portico) like an Ancient Greek temple. I visited the Art Gallery with my sister and mom, my Sister felt that i should see the Gallery since i'm an Artis and maybe gets some ideas from it, and anything that could help me in future or even inspire me somehow.
